The days that we call the ‘Triduum’ are the three most holy and intense of the Christian year, three days that changed the world for ever. This is the name that the church gives to the period of time from the evening of Maundy Thursday until Easter Day, days which take us from the Upper Room to the empty tomb. These are momentous days that we travel with Jesus and his disciples.
For me, this Holy Week and this Triduum will be very special. Last year I went on sabbatical and spent half of my time away, so six weeks in total, living in Jerusalem at St George’s College and absorbing the sights and sounds and atmosphere of this most amazing and troubled city. So many places that I walked, so many places I visited were caught up in the events of the great Three Days. So I will be going back to some of those experiences but this time from the perspective of celebrating, remembering the events back here in London. I invite you to join me.
